This project was done at college, It was to create a poster for NSPCC. I chose to go down the route of making parents aware that even though their child may seem happy that doesn't mean that everything is alright so it is important to talk to them about bullying .

To make this point come across in my images I had two ideas. The first was to show a girl holding a mask that is clearly her face and the mask would be smiling, then the actual girls face would be sad. This would show that she is hiding behind a smile. To do this I photographed the model smiling and frowning. I then used photoshop to layer the smiling photo on top of the frowning photo and I reshaped the image so it would look like to model was holding her own smiling face.

My second image idea was to use a male model and show him smiling into a mirror, however his reflection would be him frowning back. again this would show that even though he is smiling on the outside that doesn't mean he is smiling on the inside. To do this image I again took 2 images the first of the model smiling into the mirror and the second of the model frowning into the mirror making sure he didn't move. I then used photoshop to layer the images over each other and use a layer mask to reveal the frowning image in the mirror with the smiling model.
